Safari Africa

Very well, grab your hat and canteens then! Our Safari into Africa will take us across the vast plains. As we drive along the dirt paths, the tall grass sways in the breeze all around us. The sounds of wildlife can be heard in the distance.

After about an hour, our guide spots something up ahead. We slow the vehicle and see a pride of lions lounging under a large acacia tree. The lions seem oblivious to our presence as we observe them from a safe distance. One of the lionesses has three cubs wrestling and playing nearby. It’s fascinating to watch the interactions between the cubs as they hone their skills.

We linger for awhile, taking many photos, before continuing our journey. As the morning turns to afternoon, the temperature rises. But just when we think it’s getting too hot, dark clouds start rolling in. Soon a thunderstorm erupts all around us. Sheets of rain pour down while thunder booms in the sky. Our guide assures us this is normal for this time of year. We wait out the storm under a canvas tarp, watching the rain transform the dry landscape.

Once the rain passes, the air feels refreshed and cooler. Thin strands of sunlight break through the clouds. As we drive on, the savannah seems newly washed and lush. Before long, our guide spots a herd of elephants in the distance. We approach slowly so as not to startle them. I’m amazed by the size of these giant creatures as they browse on tree leaves and brush. A few younger elephants even splash and play in deep puddles left over from the downpour.

It’s been a truly memorable day on our African safari, with a bounty of wildlife sightings. The wonders and experiences of the wilderness have far surpassed my expectations. As the sun starts to set, gilding the landscape in a golden light, it’s time to make our journey back. I feel grateful for this special opportunity to observe nature and wild animals in their natural habitat. It’s a day I’ll cherish for all my life.Very well, grab your hat and canteens then!
