5 Day Gorilla trekking and Queen

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Transfer from Kampala and begin your journey with a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. The scenic drive passes through lush highlands and terraced hills, offering beautiful views of the countryside.
Upon arrival at Bwindi, check into your lodge, Rushaga gorilla camp, nestled within the misty forest.
Get some time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
Take a guided nature walk through the nearby village. It offers opportunities to see the surrounding mountains spot birds, monkeys and other wildlife.
Enjoy a cozy dinner at your lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. Rest well in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides. You will then embark on a gorilla trekking expedition through the dense and misty forest. The trek can range from a few hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are tracking.
Once you find the gorillas, you will have a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Witnessing these gentle giants up close is an unforgettable experience.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and some well-deserved rest.
The rest of the day at leisure will be spent taking a community walk interacting with the local people of the area, the Batwa, Uganda’s indigenous tribe.
The Batwa experience allows visitors to learn about their traditional ways of life including traditional hunting and gathering demonstrations and cultural performances. You will also see the Batwa homes and community structures.
Relive the day’s experiences over dinner and relax by the fire, soaking in the unique atmosphere of the Impenetrable Forest.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The journey will take you through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda, with rolling hills and terraced farmland.
Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park and check into your lodge, Bush lodge.
After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, an area known for its large populations of lions, elephants, and antelopes.
The open savannah provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Enjoy the evening listening to the sounds of the African bush and stargazing under the clear night sky.

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the northern sectors of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This is the best time to see predators like lions and leopards, as they are most active during the cooler hours. The park is also home to large herds of elephants, buffalos, and various species of antelope.
After lunch, head to the Mweya Peninsula for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George.
The channel is famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. The cruise offers an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife from the water and capture stunning photographs.
Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation. Reflect on the day’s wildlife encounters as you enjoy the park’s peaceful ambiance.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala

After an early breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala with an optional stop at the equator for photos and souvenirs.
