5-Days Arusha and Tarangire National Park

Arusha National Park is known for its diverse landscapes and the opportunity to see animals like giraffes, zebras, and colobus monkeys. Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds, but you can also spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, and various antelope species. Pack comfortable clothing suitable for warm days and cooler evenings. Don’t forget a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun protection. Insect repellent is also useful. Be sure to bring a good pair of binoculars and a camera to capture the wildlife and landscapes.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Arusha National Park

You will be picked up by our tour guide and transfer to Arusha National Park, which is just a short drive from Arusha town. Upon arrival, you can start with a game drive or other activities in the park. Overnight stay in a lodge or camp in or near Arusha National Park.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

Enjoy a full day of game drives in Arusha National Park. Explore the diverse landscapes, including lush forests, lakes, and the stunning Mount Meru. Spot wildlife like giraffes, zebras, colobus monkeys, and various bird species. Have a picnic lunch in the park. Return to your lodge or camp for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The drive from Arusha to Tarangire usually takes a few hours. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive to see Tarangire’s large herds of elephants and other wildlife. Overnight stay in a lodge or camp near Tarangire National Park.

Day 4: Full Day in Tarangire National Park

Spend the entire day exploring Tarangire National Park. Game drives in Tarangire provide excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a variety of antelope species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is known for its magnificent baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which attracts diverse wildlife. Return to your lodge or camp for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Final Game Drive and Departure

Start your day with an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park for any last-minute wildlife sightings. After breakfast, check out from your accommodation. Transfer back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
