Safari Holiday
You’ll start your trip in South Africa, flying into Johannesburg and spending your first night in a lovely boutique hotel near the airport to rest up after your long international flight. The next morning you’ll take a short flight to Kruger National Park, widely regarded as one of the best places in Africa for game viewing. Spend 3 nights exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems in an open-air vehicle, keeping a look out for the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant) as well as many other species. Your comfortable camp has a swimming pool and delicious meals prepared over an open fire.
After your game drives in Kruger, fly north to Tanzania. Spend 2 nights at a luxurious tented camp in Ruaha National Park, where walking safaris allow you to get up close to hippos, zebras and giraffes. Then fly to the legendary Serengeti plains, checking into a premium lodge that blends seamlessly into the landscape. Spend 4 nights here on game drives witnessing the Great Migration, when over a million wildebeest and zebra make their way across the plains trailed by hungry predators. You’re guaranteed incredible, memorable sightings.
From there, fly to Lake Manyara in Northern Tanzania. Your hotel overlooks the lake teeming with pink flamingos and other waterbirds. Spend a day on drives around the lake’s edge and through the rainforest, hopefully spotting elephants, baboons and over 500 bird species. Then continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. Stay at an elevated crater-edge lodge and take an entire day exploring the dramatic natural amphitheater, home to lions, hippos and rare black rhinos that can’t be seen elsewhere.
Fly from Arusha to Kenya’s Samburu National Reserve. Your eco-lodge has stunning views over the Ewaso Nyiro River. Spend your days spotting herds of Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffes and elephants trotting down to the water holes. Finish with 3 nights in the world-renowned Masai Mara Reserve, known for its epic wildebeest migration and hot air balloon safaris over the sweeping plains at dawn. You’ll no doubt leave with images and memories to last a lifetime from your dream African safari adventureYou’ll start your trip in South Africa, flying into Johannesburg and spending your first night in a lovely boutique hotel near the airport to rest up after your long international flight.
