Wildlife safaris
To start, South Africa is renowned for its variety of wildlife and excellent game viewing. A great multi-day option would be heading to Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Spread across nearly 2 million hectares of bushveld and savanna, Kruger is home to the Big 5 game animals – lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. You’re almost certain to spot these as well as giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and hundreds of bird species from an open-top safari vehicle. After several nights exploring the park, you could fly up to Johannesburg and spend a day at the Lion & Safari Park, hand-feeding giraffes and getting stunning views of the lions from an aerial cable car.

Another popular choice is Kenya, where you’ll find the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve – renown for its annual wildebeest migration. During your stay at a luxury safari lodge overlooking the Mara River, you’ll take morning and afternoon game drives and have sundowners while observing herds of migrating wildebeest and zebra evading predators on the open savanna plains. No trip to Kenya is complete without visiting one of the coastal reserves like Tsavo East or Amboseli to witness elephants and other wildlife congregate around watering holes under the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

In Tanzania, the diversity of wildlife and landscapes are unmatched. You could spend 4 nights at different lodges within the famous Serengeti National Park following migrating herds and stalking predators. Then fly to Ruaha National Park for its dense baobab forests and rare species like ruaha red duiker antelope. Fly next to Arusha and embark on a climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, with your porters taking care of everything, before winding down your trip with a stint at an idyllic beach lodge near Zanzibar.

Let me know if you would like me to expand or modify any part of this suggested itinerary. My goal is to create an unforgettable African safari adventure tailored entirely to your interests and well exceeding 300 words. Please feel free to ask me anything!
